Join weaver Rachel Long in the beautiful environment of The Livelihood Textile Studio for an intensive day of weaving on vintage table looms. Developing the basic skills needed to create a hand woven scarf, wallhanging or a handwoven textile sampler. Participants will learn the basic workings of the looms,weave simple patterns and create texture. In this class you will be provided with enough yarn to complete a two metre length by 12" piece. The looms will be already warped up with a natural colour cotton or linen rayon yarn.

Cost: $200 (includes warp yarn, weft yarn all materials and tools for the day will be provided and a afternoonTea)

at time of booking. Refunds on workshops bookings are not available, however you are more than welcome to send someone in your place. We Require a minimum of two participants to run the workshop, if we don't reach minimum numbers we will reschedule the class.

Warping Yarn

The looms will be warped with a natural white cotton yarn. The warp is the backbone of cloth it holds all the weft yarns in place.
